E3 (Electronics Entertainment Expo) officially runs the 15-17, but the day most of us would care the most about comes on Tuesday with Sony's Press Conference starting at 12:00 pm (noon) PST.  Stay tuned here as we'll try to keep this thread updated with any relevant news, and please help out and post any cool stuff you might run across or hear as well.....

Ok, so far nothing too stunning so far.  360's presentation was yesterday and in short they announce "Project Natal" is now know as "kinect"...whoopee , intorduced a new smaller console design (which does look alot better than the original), some new Live applications, and a $50 price drop on the older model consoles, and of course made a huge specticule out of nothing ( oh, I mean "Kinect") with a Cirque Du Soleil performance.

so plus will only cost 50 bucks for a year for everything i mentioned in another post. So BONUS. 50 bucks for extended console warranty a year is worth it alone. finally a movie store in canada in august DOUBLE BONUS. GT5 finally in november, ill hold hope out for it twisted metal tho. WO :BBDANCE:OOEEE finally!!!!

I wonder if we will be able to pay for psn + with the playstation cards, jst wondering since I seem to get those a lot from people.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to use them but they haven't even told us what's included with the PSN+ service...the stuff Opti mentioned is just rumored content and the confirmed info from the show is quoted below

Sony will offer a premium subscription to the PlayStation Network, one that doesn't replace the current free service but does offer "an enhanced experience," with additional content, early demo access and more. It will cost $49.99 a year.

Jack Tretton announced the plans for the premium service at Sony's E3 news conference. Subscribers may also choose a $17.99-per-3 months pricing plan. PlayStation Plus subscribers also would get "hundreds of dollars" in free content and discounts on certain items within the PlayStation Store.

The first three months of the service will be available for free for a limited time to subscribers, Tretton said.

Standard PSN features now delivered for free will continue to be free, Tretton said. This would include standard multiplayer and messaging.

No mention of cross game chat, free games,  extended warranty, etc just "additional content and early demo access" Whoopee?  I'm still extremely unexcited by this...$50 is better than the original rumored price but still not worth it yet (if your PS3 lasts three years, which more than 95% have, then there's your $50 dollars per year as Playstation will repair or send a factory certified unit for that much.

Dillweed, Last time I checked they weren't the official Mag sooooooooooooo, yeah it's all rumors and speculation so far. Parts might be true, none of it, or all of it plus more.................... we haven't been told yet from Sony=Rumor!!

no attempt to cover anything foo. but at any rate, doesnt mean we wont get such services, for one thing that blog says " will be adding stuff constantly" so NYAHHHHHHHH... on another note, theres talk now from a post that went up on a blog for ps and was quickly yanked off that the crossgame chat may indeed still be coming BUT it will be free to every psn user with version 3.40 so lets cross our fingers there.

No SWBF3 announced.  You'd think Lucas Arts would actually listen to its fans and just make a sequel.

Good news though (in my opinion)

GT5 release data in November.
Final Fantasy XIV the fall.

Fallout New Vegas.

Call of Duty: Black Ops ( I don't even know why I should care anymore.)

Medal of Honor. (this actually has my attention.)
